This year marks the 21st Anniversary of the Environmental Research Group (ERG) at King's College London. Beginning as a small air quality monitoring team, the group has grown over the years to become the UK's leading air quality science and health research organisation.
Based in the school of Biomedical Sciences at King's, ERG uniquely integrate air quality monitoring, modelling, toxicology and policy research to advance our understanding of the sources, nature and impacts of modern air pollution.
Each year, King’s hold an annual meeting to present and discuss the latest air pollution research. This year, to mark our 21st anniversary, the event looks to the future with a two day programme featuring air quality experts from across the globe.
The conference will cover advances in air quality measurement and modelling, breakthroughs in our understanding of the toxicology of air pollution as well as the health impacts at population-scale. The programme will close with a discussion on how this knowledge can be used to influence policy makers and the public to both reduce emissions and long-term exposure.
The event will also feature poster displays from researchers across the teams, showcasing emerging work and offering a chance to discuss findings during coffee breaks.
