Delivering a transformative King's education to talented students
Vision 2029 set out bold ambitions for the future of King’s as we look towards our 200th anniversary: to make the world a better place through our excellence in teaching, research and service to society. Launched in 2017 by former President & Principal of King’s, Professor Edward Byrne AC, Vision 2029 outlines transformative initiatives aiming to broaden the base of King's, extend our reach, expand access, deliver an extraordinary student experience and strengthen how well we work together.
Our teaching excellence will enable our students to turn their curiosity and aspirations into a lasting basis for success, social impact and continuous learning. Our enquiry-driven research will enable interdisciplinary collaborations that translate into new insights and solutions for challenges faced in London, across the UK and around the world. We will be known as a university that makes a significant contribution to society, beyond education and research.

King’s Strategy 2026 sets out how we intend to work over the years ahead to deliver the ambitions of Vision 2029. It seeks to consolidate and build on our academic strengths and successes, and advance our distinctiveness, while reflecting the context in which King’s operates on the global stage. Our strategy sets out four fundamental priorities, identified by our community. Spearheaded by King's current Vice-Chancellor & President, Professor Shitij Kapur, it builds on our strengths to guide our future.
