The Mukul Madhav Foundation UK is proud to establish the Mukul Madhav UK Foundation Scholarships. The scholarship will be awarded to one female student who is a resident of India undertaking a one-year full time science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) Masters programme within the Natural, Mathematics, Engineering, and Sciences (NMES) faculty. The prestigious award will be given to an exceptional international student who can demonstrate financial hardship to support them in their studies at King’s.
The Mukul Madhav Foundation was established in 1999 as an independent charitable trust in India, their work encompasses healthcare, education, social welfare, water and environmental conservation, sanitation, women’s empowerment, disaster relief, promotion of sports and skill development. This accounts for 17 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and 15 of the 16 CSR Mandates put forward by the Indian Government in 2014.
Award value
The scholarship will cover £13,334 in the form of a stipend to cover living expenses and up to £25,000 in tuition fees.
Eligibility criteria
In order to be eligible to apply, students must:
- intend to undertake a full-time, one year taught Masters programme at King's, within the Natural, Mathematics, Engineering, and Sciences (NMES) Faculty, from Sept 2024
- be permanently domiciled in India*
- identify as a woman
- be classed as international for tuition fees
- be able to demonstrate financial hardship
- demonstrate academic merit through your undergraduate degree transcript of grades and final degree award outcome
- be willing to provide an end of year report or any other interactions deemed necessary by the donor
- provide a written personal statement in support of your application
