These bursaries have been established for undergraduate, home fee status students at King’s College London undertaking medical electives during 2024-25.
Award details
The bursaries are designed to offer assistance to candidates who are in need of extra financial support to undertake their elective. You will automatically be considered for all three bursaries, so please only complete one application form.
The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine will be offering the following:
1) Timothy C Brown Bursary: 30 bursaries of £1,000 each
2) King’s Elective Bursary: 20 bursaries of £1,000 each
3) Enid Linder Foundation Bursary: 8 Bursaries of £1,000 each

58 bursaries worth £1,000 each.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- you should be an undergraduate, home fee status student at King’s College London undertaking a medical elective during 2024-25
- you should have a combined household income of £42,875 or less
- you should have applied for and taken up your maximum entitlement to Student Finance England/Wales/N.Ireland/SAAS and NHS help with tuition fees and loans/ grants for living costs support, where eligible
- you and your sponsors/parents/guardians must have given Student Finance England/Wales/N.Ireland/SAAS ‘consent to share’ your financial information with King's College London
Application process
Please ensure you answer all questions and complete all sections of the form. The questions on the form are designed to establish your financial and academic circumstances as clearly as possible.
You will need to submit documentary evidence with your application. If these are not submitted, your application will not be considered.
