Student Testimonial

Alberto Salinas Villasenor, MSc Banking & Finance

"QS Rankings were a big influence in my decision of where to study. London had always been a dream city to me so I started looking for the best universities in the city and quickly realised that King's College London would be a huge opportunity if I was accepted.

I have been involved on financial markets for a long time and spent a couple of years taking multiple certifications and courses on the subject matter. Reading through the syllabus of the MSc, it felt like a natural continuation for my background. This postgraduate course provides me an incredibly large amount of learning tools and resources that will open doors anywhere in the world for me.

I learnt about the funding opportunity by exploring the scholarships section in King's website, the one categorized by countries in particular. I saw that there was a collaboration agreement with my government so decided to apply.

Getting the opportunity was honestly a big help for me, has made things easier for me, especially since the worldwide economy is going through a difficult time.

My advice for a prospective student would be to not be afraid to ask any questions about the opportunity. King's staff were beyond helpful and amicable while being clear about how long the whole process would take and giving me advice to apply properly."
