What’s at KCLSU?
Congratulations and welcome aboard on your King’s journey! Being a student at KCL means each student is automatically a member of King’s College London Students’ Union (KCLSU) the oldest Student’s Union in the UK.
KCLSU ensures that all King’s students can feel at home away from home and offers over 400 sports clubs, societies, campaign teams and cultural societies to join.
Apart from our diverse range of societies, member groups and sports clubs, you will find yourself stumbling upon venues that speak KCLSU, loud and clear. KCLSU is proud to have award-winning commercial spaces that are run by students and for our students. So, the next time you buy a coffee at The Shack, remember that you’re helping a peer out with their rent.

The Union Shop

The Shack

The Shack is KCLSU's popular metropolitan grab and go café in Bush House, open from 9.00–16.00, Monday to Friday, during the academic year. It’s home to a huge range of hot drinks, meal deals and stunning views of the Strand, which makes it the perfect place to meet up and spend time with friends or get some studying done.

The Vault

The Vault features an international menu wonderfully cooked by in-house chefs. It also has a wide range of vegetarian, vegan and halal options, so there’s something for everybody at student-friendly prices.
The Vault is the proud home of King’s’ famous curly fries – some of the best you’ll get in London – come try them and see!
Guy’s Bar & Hut
Students sit at tables in a bright café space at The Shed working on laptops and chatting. The room features large arched windows, wooden floors, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Established in 1882, Guy’s Bar is our oldest student bar, restaurant and night club. You can find us downstairs from Guy’s Café on Guy’s Campus.
With a mix of booth seating for groups, small tables and an open seating area, Guy’s Bar & Hut is the perfect place to fuel up with lunch before lectures. For a more chilled out spot, head upstairs to Guy’s Café, known for serving excellent coffee and a great selection of delicious brownies – the perfect pre-or-post-lecture snack.
