We bring together world-class research, education and clinical practice to improve care for children and young people across a comprehensive range of paediatric specialties from three leading NHS institutions - Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College and the Royal Brompton Hospitals.
Collectively we provide comprehensive paediatric clinical and academic services, and we are now one of the largest services in the country.
We house nationally and internationally accredited centres of excellence for a range of different sub-specialties, recognising the care we offer as well as research. The broad list of paediatric specialities covered include allergy, cardiology, dermatology, endocrine, haematology, hepatology, neuroscience, neonatology, paediatric intensive care, general, integrated, and population paediatrics, renal, respiratory, sleep medicine and urology. In each clinical department are several clinical academics, many who operate in both clinical and scientific environments, who harness the unmatched complexity and volume of paediatric patients seen across the three different Trusts in a range of investigator and industry led clinical trials.
Education and training underpin all we do, and we ensure discoveries made in our services today are taught to trainee paediatricians as quickly as possible.
By harnessing our collective strengths, we aim to become a world-renowned paediatric clinical academic continuing to drive improved holistic outcomes and value for children and young people with requiring hospital, community, or integrated care through a strong clinical and academic approach.
We will continue to develop our education and training, with the ambition of becoming the UK’s leading centre for training in clinical and academic paediatrics, ensuring we continue to attract and retain a highly skilled workforce.
