The Policy Institute, King's College London held a series of "Policy Labs" in conjunction with the Positive Policy Change Network - a branch of the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF), which influences and advises on policy to improve oral health. They were joined by teams from the Deparment of Health, NGOs and other practitioners in the field. The discussions focused on how to shape new policy to catalyse change within health systems and ensure that prevention is moved up the agenda.
This report focused on how we accelerate a policy shift towards increased resource allocation for caries prevention and control. There were four recommendations put forward:
