Study at one of the largest and most distinguished Philosophy departments in the world - ranked eighth globally in the QS World University Rankings, 2020. 

On our taught postgraduate degrees you can choose from the largest ranges of optional modules of any UK university, covering all major areas of philosophy from pre-Socrates to present day.  

We teach the whole history of Western philosophy with no gaps, and have specialisms in contemporary philosophy such as philosophy of mind. Our master’s courses cover Philosophy, Philosophy of Psychology as well as Philosophy of Medicine and Psychiatry.
