Settling in at King's
Welcome Week is designed to give you all the information you need on your course, but also to help you feel familiar with our campuses and discover what it means to be part of our community.
Our Student Ambassadors will show you around – they’ll point out everywhere from common rooms to places to study. We also host a welcome reception so you can meet people on your course.
Experiencing student life
Living in the city, you’ll have our clinical partners on your doorstep including Guys and St Thomas’, King’s College and South London and Maudsley Hospitals. Learning on campus, our simulation facilities give you a safe place to build confidence, learn to manage patients and boost your communication skills.
We know our courses are different to other subjects. And this will shape your experience – after all you’ll spend half of your time on placement.
The Student Experience team help you get the most out of life at King’s and the Nightingale Student Council also work alongside the Student Union to solve issues unique to healthcare students.
You’ll have time at university where you can get involved with the wider King’s community – whether this is joining a society or playing sports. Or, you can make the most of opportunities within the faculty to help us with our research.
