Neuroscience Early Career Researchers in 3 Minutes

Annora Thoeng

School of Neuroscience Senior Communications and Engagement Officer

26 October 2023

The School of Neuroscience at the IoPPN is the UK's 2nd largest Neuroscience education provider. The school is ranked 4th worldwide for highly cited research (Scopus Scival, 2020-2022) and is home to over 150 PhD students.

Earlier this year we held a symposium to learn about the breadth of research in the school. For the first time, we hosted a 3-minute competition in which our researchers presented an aspect of their work without slides. Following up on the success of the competition, we invited three of our early career researchers to film their presentations.

Our Early Career Researchers in this blog are Mohua Kibria Mumu from the Wolfson Centre, Errin Roy from the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, and Adam Pavlinek from the Basic and Clinical Neuroscience.

Mohua Kibria Mumu discusses her PhD project “The pathophysiological role of TRPA1 in diabetic sensory neuropathy”

Errin Roy talks about her project "Investigating the development of human interneuron synapses in a xenotransplant model"

Adam Pavlinek describes his project “Studying sex differences in human neurodevelopment”.
