Real world musical impact.

Within the latest Research Excellence Framwork (REF 2021), we were ranked 4th institutionally in the UK alongside a joint-submission with our Film Studies department.

Alongside that, 100 per cent of our research impact and research environment were rated either ‘world-leading’ (4*) or ‘Internationally excellent’ (3*).

Our impact emphasises the enrichment of cultural life — we'll shortly be showing how some of our work has impacted upon communities around the world.
