The King's Language Centre provides bespoke and flexible language training to private groups and businesses. Courses are tailored to our clients' specific requirements.

The King's Language Centre is part of the world-renowned King's College London and our expert tutors are highly-skilled professionals experienced in identifying and responding to students' needs at all levels. We can provide bespoke consultancy services to understand your needs and build language programmes for you or your business.

What we offer

Corporate Language Tuition

We can work with you to create bespoke language tuition for your business. We have taught clients from many sectors including: the City, the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, Media, Education and Fashion.

Private Language Tuition

We have a wealth of experience providing language tuition tailored to small groups of private individuals. We work with you to understand your needs and design courses to help you achieve your language goals.

Cross-Cultural and Intercultural Awareness Training

Our experienced team of language teaching experts can provide bespoke solutions for your company to help you communicate effectively with global partners, clients and colleagues.

Course information

What you will receive

  • A tailored language learning plan designed specifically to your needs
  • Certificate of attendance
  • Access to the Language Resources Centre, including use of Pressreader (online access to 1000s of current news and culture publications in 50+ languages)
  • Free online speaking practice sessions; talk to a native speaker for free, once a week on a topic of your choosing to support your language learning (offered during term-time)
  • Support from a dedicated account manager to assist with any questions you may have

Course schedule and location

  • Courses can start at any time of the year and be of any duration (minimum 15 hours).
  • Teaching is primarily available from 8.00 to 20.00 Monday to Friday but please contact us for lessons outside of these hours or over the weekend. 
  • Tuition can be delivered online, on any of the King's College London campuses or in-company.

Our teaching approach

  • We use the immersion method of language teaching. This means the majority of the course will be conducted in the language of study.
  • Our tutors use a communicative approach in class and will address the four communicative skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) as standard.

KLC employs over 100 teaching staff who are native speakers of the language(s) they teach and have in-depth knowledge of language teaching methodology. Many of our teachers also have expertise in other areas such as journalism, politics, law, business, international affairs and the health sector.
