Our postgraduate taught students learn from some of the world’s leading academics in the field and have access to a hugely diverse clinical population and vast datasets.
The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neurosciences is a leading centre for mental health and neuroscience research in Europe. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, 90% of our research was deemed ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’. We produce more highly cited outputs on mental health than any other centre (SciVal 2023). Our postgraduate research students gain first class training in a vibrant multidisciplinary research community.
Our Departments offer a range of professional clinical training and short courses to support your career development. We are internationally renowned for our wide range of clinical training programmes for mental health professionals which benefit from our close ties with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
