Research & Impact
The department was awarded ‘highly commended’ status during the NHS Quality Assurance Agency Major Review. King’s is at the top of the NHS Pan-London Quality and Regulation Unit’s contract performance league table for nutrition and dietetics programmes.
We prepare students to work in the NHS and to advise consumer groups, the food industry and governmental agencies, or engage in research. Our approach is multidisciplinary, drawing upon expertise in biochemistry, food science, medicine, physiology, social and environmental sciences.
Our BSc Nutrition and MSc Nutrition programmes are accredited by the Association for Nutrition. Therefore, graduates are eligible to apply for direct entry to the UK Voluntary Register of Accredited Nutritionists.
