Teaching Facilities
KCL is extremely proud of our recently refurbished, modern teaching & learning spaces, which include two dissection labs. The large Dissecting Room is organised into 12 “stations” and can accommodate ~160 students at a time. Equipped with an extensive range of prosection and dissection options, projectors, TVs and tablets, it is ideal for creating a small group teaching atmosphere, whilst allowing large cohorts to come together. Staffed by a range of anatomists.
The smaller Dissecting Room is ideal for groups of ~40 students, which is perfect for our smaller specialist modules and long-term research projects. This space is ideally equipped for surgical training courses using unembalmed specimens, with 16 stations with smaller adjustable height dissecting tables, basic surgical instruments and suction at each station.
Both rooms are available to hire by external organisations for specialist training courses. For more information please contact: dissectingroom@kcl.ac.uk
The Guy’s campus is also home to the world-famous Gordon Museum of Pathology and the Museum of Life Sciences.
