About us
Welcome to the Modern Language Centre, King's College London. We offer Evening & Saturday langauge courses (open to all) taught from beginner to near native speaker (Level 1 to 6). We teach over 26 languages, our teachers are highly qualified and native speakers.
We have moved online - so you can learn a new language.
All our language courses will be delivered online, instead of our usual face-to-face delivery.
About the virtual classrooom. This will allow for real time online interactions, either verbal (audio/video) as well as by text chat between teachers and fellow students. Although the class environment and interaction with difer from face-to-face with your fellow students and your teacher, the same syllabus will be covered and the four communicative skills will be addressed (speaking, reading, writing and listening).
The same teaching quality will be delivered through virtual classes and video-conferencing, group work, online exercises and varied activities will be integrated.

Summer courses provide 15 hours of tuition for beginner students. They are usually taught over one weekend, 1 week or 2.5 weeks. The courses are aimed at preparing those who are heading abroad and want to learn the essentials such as greeting, ordering food and asking for directions before their travels.
Lunchtime conversation classes
Are you looking to practice your conversation skills? Then our Lunchtime Conversation classes will be ideal for you. The classes are informal and based on a topic each week, taught over 10 weeks.
Fast-track intensive
Taught over two and half weeks on a Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday in July. The 5 taught classes are 3 hours in duration and are taught in the evenings from 18.00 - 21.00.
Saturday intensive
Taught on a Saturday morning or afternoon during June, each classes is 3 hours in duration and taught over 5 weeks.
One-week intensive
Taught week days (Monday to Friday) from 10.00 to 13.00 in July. Each class is 3 hours in duration and taught over 5 days. All courses are taught at beginner level.
