Circle U & DSCL


About Circle U

Circle U. is an alliance of seven European Universities who share a commitment to developing knowledge in service to society: Aarhus University (Denmark); Humboldt University (Germany); King's College London (U.K.);  UCLouvain (Belgium); University of Oslo (Norway); University of Belgrade (Serbia) and University of Paris (France). In collaboration with a further 34 associated partners, the alliance represents more than 334,000 students and 51,000 academic and administrative staff. 

Co-Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and formally launched in November 2020, Circle U. aims to create an inclusive, research-intensive, and interdisciplinary European University which provides a multi-cultural and multi-lingual student experience. Students, staff, and external partners work together to develop new initiatives for pedagogical innovation and cutting-edge research which addresses global challenges. In the context of setting up a joint mobility framework amongst the partner universities, King’s College London is launching a pilot programme of blended learning modules.

Diplomatic Spouses Club in London (DSCL

Diplomatic Spouses Club in London (DSCL) is a community created by spouses and partners of diplomats living in London to provide a friendly platform to connect, collaborate and foster international relations, with a strong emphasis on promoting international friendship and cultural exchange. DSCL believes that learning is an opportunity for personal growth and adaptation to a new city and its members can engage in educational and personal development activities.

King's Language Centre has partnered with the Diplomatic Spouses Club in London ensuring that members who study a language with the LC are given a 10% discount on advertised fees – in particular but not limited to - Evening & Saturday Language Courses  and Tailor-made provision. We also have new English courses available.

Resources available for you

The Language Resource Centre (LRC) offers free speaking practice for students with a native speaker to improve conversational skills. Our speakers are volunteers and come from the richly diverse King's community.

The LRC also offers a wide variety of resources, workshops and events as well as multilingual learning advisors who are always on hand to help you make the most of the facilities.
