Investigating the patterns of Intimate Partner Violence and Abuse among UK military veterans
The King's Centre for Military Health Research at King’s College London, and Combat Stress are seeking a PhD candidate for a collaborative studentship funded by the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership/Economic Social Research Council, to investigate the patterns of intimate partner violence and abuse among UK military veterans. The deadline for applications is 7 March 2025.
Neurodiversity in sport: from PE to elite sport
Sport, exercise science and sport psychology focused PhD fully funded by ESRC LISS doctoral training programme. The overarching aim of the PhD is to work alongside our partner organisation, Neurodiverse Sport, to build a better evidence base understand the experiences of neurodivergent individuals in sport at all levels and develop best practice guidance for neurodivergent-inclusive sport.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and the Menopause: From understanding to management
Research has identified that women with ADHD are often undiagnosed, untreated and more likely to have depression and anxiety. This has led to calls to examine the role of female hormones in ADHD. This PhD studentship is within the Department of Psychology and is offered as a 3.5 year position or a 1+3.5 years for those taking an MSc in Mental Health Studies first.
Application process for studentships
Applying for a studentship follows a different process than applying for a PhD or MD(Res) course. Therefore please read the advert carefully to ensure you apply to the correct department and with correct funding code.
It is likely that you will have to make an online application but the project approval form may have already been completed by the supervisors. If this is the case, then if successful, all you will need to do is to sign the project approval form, to confirm you are happy with the project. Otherwise, you will work with the supervisors to complete the project form.
A project approval form has to be completed in all cases as the project has to be approved as suitable for a PhD and feasible in the time allowed.
