Through professional education, you can learn valuable skills that will help you to solve problems creatively, approach the world from a different perspective, and excel in the workplace.
In 2021, King's established Cultural Competency as part of the College’s Internationalisation Strategy, in which cultural competency is one of the two core values at King’s.
Based in the Department of Interdisciplinary Humanities, Cultural Competency serves the whole King’s community. We develop and deliver a wide range of student and staff modules to meet professional and academic developmental needs in Cultural Competency and we do this with our innovative co-creation ethos.
Our modules equip our students with culturally competent knowledge, attitudes and skills that are required to thrive in an increasingly global society. They also enable and empower staff, both academics and professionals included, to provide world-class education and services.
The diverse expertise we galvanise covers arts and humanities, sociology, cultural studies, applied linguistics, education, and healthcare. We are rapidly becoming a research powerhouse, generating both new knowledge and new ways to transform local and international communities.
