Professor releases Christmas album to raise money for prostate cancer

James Clark, Professor of Cardiovascular and Physiology Education, has dropped his third Christmas album, Silent Night, to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Recorded at his home in Sussex, the 20-track album includes some rock, pop, blues and traditional Christmas songs all wrapped up for the festivities. Favourites such as White Christmas, The Christmas Song and the title track Silent Night are all included in this 60-minute release.

Manasi Nandi - Black Cultural Archives

Exploring maternal health inequalities with the Black Cultural Archives

As part of the London Enterprise module, a group of final year Bioscience students have embarked on a project with the Black Cultural Archives that looks to highlight inequalities in maternal health within the Black community. Over a number of months, the students will carry out research on archival material at the BCA to produce an display that will be shown at an exhibition at the end of the year. The BCA, based in Brixton, London, is an organisation that seeks to collect, preserve and celebrate the histories of people of African and Caribbean descent in the UK.

King's and the University of Portsmouth will deliver a medical degree through a branch campus to expand opportunities to study medicine in the south of England where there is a severe shortage of general practitioners (GPs).
