Widening Participation

The Department of Film Studies has a commitment to widening participation and has a good record within Arts & Humanities of attracting students from diverse backgrounds. 

The department regularly participates in college and/or faculty-wide initiatives such as K+ and summer school initiatives such as "World Cultures, Global Futures." 

Colleagues in film studies regularly visit "WP" schools and the department is currently working to develop a scheme to encourage a diverse range of London-based AS and A level students to consider and see the value of a degree in film studies and related arts and humanities disciplines.
