Sustainability underpins all of our impact areas, from our research to our pedagogy.
Our research related to sustainability covers a wide range of topics and applications from design principles for reuse, repurposing and recycling to energy storage, generation, and distribution. Our energy research involves new materials coupled with new manufacturing methods for energy storage devices and improving their performance and safety.
Our research draws in the sustainability of our everyday lives from food production, exploiting waste products, efficient management of water and land resources to reducing the energy demands of computers and improving the efficiency of aeroengines.
