- Who's it best suited to? Any organisation with existing schemes or pipeline programmes into your organisation looking to promote to King's students.
Log into your account to post insight days/weeks, vacation schemes, mini/pupillages and structured internships programmes to an audience of over 45,000 students, recent alumni and researchers at King's.
Post an opportunity on King's CareerConnect
King's no longer operates any central extra-curricular internship programming where employers are able to access shortlisting services or funding from us for bespoke summer internships, but we can still work with you to help advise and consult on possible options to build your own programming.
This may help to build a causal, talent pipeline opportunity for your organisation that can then be shared with both King's and other universities through our vacancy board, or potentially advertised on our vacancy board but ring-fenced for King's only.
We also operate a number of 'closed' programmes in the USA and Brussels so if you are looking to recruit interns or engage in other work-based learning opportunties with King's in these regions, reach out to us!

A number of King's programmes provide opportunities for students to gain academic credit by undertaking accredited internships or placements as part of their course of study at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Alternatively, they may have the option of a Capstone project, or the ability to work directly with an employer as part of their dissertation.
At an undergraduate level, King's supports students who can undertake a formal industry placement, as part of our Global Placements provision, whilst at postgraduate level, we provide ways for employers to engage with faculty who may have accredited internships modules or other forms of integrating employability into their programme structures.
- Who's it best suited to? Public and private sector organisations with capacity to partner with an academic department to deliver a group project, partner on a student dissertation or host a student for at least 120 hours on an accredited programme or a full year undergraduate industrial placement.
Undergraduate students studying Artificial Intelligence, Business Management, Chemistry, Informatics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences have the opportunity to undertake an industry placement or year in professional placement as part of their programmes
We have a dedicated Global Placement team to support employers wishing to engage with these programmes.

Increasing numbers of students have the potential to undertake an Accredited Internship module as part of their undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.
We're keen to work with employers who may be interested in hosting students for short periods.
NOTE: Whilst we actively encourage payment for all our students, opportunities on the Accredited Internship Programme are exempt from national minimum wages legislation.

We're currently developing support to enhance employers' connectivity with faculty whose programming provides different ways for partnership - Capstone projects, dissertation support, guest lectures etc.

Under Development: Spring 2024
Our programming for researchers at King's is currently being developed, working with our Doctoral Training Entities and UKRI. We're looking forward to bringing employers a suite of options to recruit PhD researchers as part of their research, much of which is fully-funded by various Research Councils.
Interested in extra-curricular work-related projects of a smaller scale?
Our Insights Programme of extra-curricular work-related learning enables employers to engage students still discovering their career options, or gaining meaningful work experience for the first time. You'll have a range of interventions to choose from as part of a programme that sees our students develop across a year-long learning journey, so it's also a brilliant way to test the waters but equally meet highly-skilled individuals who haven't yet been drawn on their career thinking.
Whether it's via a business trek to your office in London, attending our networking event in person or being a speaker at one of our webinars or engaging with our Virtual Micro-Internships or Virtual Consultancy Project offerings from anywhere across the globe, you'll get an opportunity to meet with King's students and potentially your next hire!
- Who's it best suited to? Our business treks and work-shadowing can be hosted by any organisation based in London, whereas our virtual suite of activities (micro internships, consultancy projects and work simulation) can be hosted by companies based anywhere globally. Work-shadowing may be more suitable for startups, charities, community organisations, social enterprises and alumni whilst our virtual micro internships are usually offered by companies of any sector and size. Our virtual consultancy projects may be more suitable for organisations interested in working with our PhD students.
Connect and work with students on our Insights Programme. The programme specifically works with our final year undergraduates and PhD students exploring their career options, and seeks to offer a variety of ways for students to explore the opportunities available to them.

Enrich our students' experience by providing work experiences for our own King's students - whether you're looking to recruit summer interns, graduate interns or perhaps an industry placement student for a year, our team have supported recruitment of many opportunities including Inclusive Careers Education Ambassadors, the King's 100 student panel and internships for King's Entrepreneurship Institute.
The Work Based Learning Unit supports colleagues across King's College London and King's Health Partners to understand how to recruit from our own student population, either for regular undergraduate internships, or graduate ones.
N.B. we are unable to support requests about Apprenticeships which are handled by the King's Apprenticeships team or support in managing agreements or contracts for students of external universities or schools who a faculty may have established. In this instance, please liaise with your HR Partner for support.
