Further Details

We're committed to bringing employers a range of physical and virtual opportunities to engage and the success of our events back on campus has proved this remains a popular choice for students and employers.

Outside of these events, you'll be able to build your brand through promoting your own planned activity with us, or engaging at King's through physical or virtual presentations, masterclasses, skills workshops, inclusion events, business treks, nano projects and bespoke activity.

We've listened to feedback from both employers and our students following two years of events back on campus, so this year we've introduced a few changes:

  • New sector-specific networking nights focused on key corporate sectors, held in evenings to enable individuals within the business to attend.
  • Reducing the number of stands at our main King's Careers Fair to create more space for engagement and remove some of the challenges both audience groups highlighted from last year.
  • Creation of new promotional spots in our Quad space across the careers fair days for you to undertake bigger, more interactive promotions (contact us for details).
  • Introducing a new 'quiet zone' for our student to use on days of our main fair, where they can speak with our Careers Consultants and Work-based Learning specialists, participate in crafting or relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main event.

  • Our fairs, networking nights and speed meets comprise a range of options for employers and students to interact. This year, we will be offering a combination of physical and virtual activities.

    Virtual Events

Employer can utilise whichever video platform you are most comfortable with - MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or anything else and you will be required to provide these links to us via the system. All attendees will also be provided with:
  • a virtual stand and careers booth
  • unlimited options to schedule one-to-one discussions
  • the ability to host group presentations or webinars across the duration of the event
  • linking to your existing opportunities published on King’s CareerConnect
  • links to your social media and wider online presence

    Physical

For our Networking Nights, Law & Justice Fair, Part-time Work Fair, King's Careers Fair and the Life & Health Sciences Careers Event, you will be provided with:
  • A table space and two chairs (fairs) or a poser table space (networking nights)
  • Lunch vouchers (x3) for your delegates to choose their own lunch in our café upstairs [or at the Francis Crick Institute] (fairs) or access to our drinks and canapes (networking nights)
  • wi-fi access

Please bring small banners and limit the give-a-ways to sustainable products, perhaps using QR codes rather than printing brochures.

  • We remain confident that our events provide a unique experience to engage directly with a distinctive talent pool which will be of value to your organisation.

However we know that many organisations continue to face continuous financial and resourcing constraintsm so we've kept our pricing at highly competitive levels - with many of our brand & attraction activities free of charge, including our new networking nights.

Where we've made a small increase (£25.00) to attendance at our physical fairs, we're confident these still represent significant value for money compared to many other leading UK universities.

Full package and pricing information is available in the individual event listings above.

You can also explore sponsorship options to expand on your engagement with us.

We expect this year's events to be attended by students and recent alumni across the King's community. This means you'll meet diverse students from all our faculties, levels of study, career aspirations and stages of their career journey.

To be as transparent as possible, on each of our event listings you will find a fact file outlining the attendance and demographic breakdown from the most relevant event which proceeded it - including by faculty, level of study, nationality, gender, ethnicity and students' stage in their career journey which is drawn from our annual careers registration survey all students complete.

It's important that employers understand our fairs, networking nights & speed meets welcome students at different stages in their journey and to help you understand this we've produced a downloadable guide.

King's is part of the Sustainable Recruitment Alliance - working with other university careers departments and graduate employers, we look to reduce the quantity of materials used in recruitment activities and switch to sustainable alternatives where possible.

  • We ask partner organisations coming onto campus to support King's climate and sustainability action plan by reducing waste where possible, for instance by avoiding single-use cups by bringing reusable coffee cups and refillable water bottles.
  • We encourage employers to digitise surveys and promotional material using QR codes to avoid paper and ink waste.
  • We request that banner stands that be used at multiple events.
  • We request employers avoid single-use giveaways and opt for items that can be reused.

  • Our fairs, networking nights and speed meets are exclusively open to current King's students and recent alumni (alongside those of other collaborating universities where specified).

If you are listing your attendance on your website, or through any other channel, please make this clear, as we will not be able to admit anyone who does not meet these criteria

We reserve the right to ensure the right mix of employers at each of our events based upon our student demographic and data around their aspirations, so please be aware that your booking is only confirmed when you receive a formal notification from us.

If you have not received confirmation within five working days of submitting the booking request form, please get in touch.
