I first applied because of King's global reputation and because I wanted to live and study in the center of London. My expectations were well and truly exceeded. The lecturers were interesting and engaged, the courses challenging but rewarding, and I was studying and socializing with some of the brightest students from around the world. A standout feature of the programme was the diversity of courses on offer. For example, in one semester I studied the International Political Economy of East Asia and the International Political Economy of oil and gas.
Completing my MA in International Political Economy at King's was one of the best decisions I ever made.
The programme equipped me with a deep understanding of global affairs and international political economy theory, as well as a fantastic network in many countries and industries. These are assets that I have used extensively in my work at the United Nations and World Bank.
