Military Partnerships

The Defence Studies Department is proud of its long-standing and highly acclaimed partnership with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). As part of King’s College London we are part of a community of high ranking research and teaching belonging to the prestigious research-intensive ‘Russell Group’ of universities.

The Department was created specifically to focus on its Military Partnership, which specialises in bespoke research-led educational solutions for the military and wider national security professions, utilising academic and organisational expertise and capability. We form an integral part of the UK Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC) and the Royal College of Defence Studies which provide world-class command and staff education and training to officers and civil servants of the United Kingdom and select allied nationals.

Our experts provide advice, academic leadership and policy advice to the UK Ministry of Defence and many other government departments both in the UK and internationally.
