Opportunities and resources for the cultural sector

King’s aims to support the cultural sector by working in partnership to address its challenges and opportunities. The university can help to convene conversations around specific themes and ideas, bringing academic analysis and methodology to the process and providing a neutral space in which different voices can be heard.

Partnerships with King’s researchers can bring academic insights and approaches to bear on key sector questions, while King’s students offer fresh thinking and the perspective of future generations to organisational challenges.

The Culture team aims to broker and support exchanges between members of King’s student and academic communities and artists and cultural organisations. The team can also offer consultancy or commissioned work.

A range of publications and resources is available online. This includes CultureCase, a unique and freely available web resource that provides the sector with access to peer reviewed research into the impact of arts and culture on a range of social, educational, health and other issues.

Short, accessible summaries of academic research from around the world, including from King's, that demonstrate the impact of arts and culture and highlight a range of insights to help inform future planning.

You can use CultureCase to help:
• advocate for the value of culture
• apply for funding
• inform programming, marketing and strategic decision-making
