My name is Andreea Bombita, I just turned 21, I currently live in Bucharest, Romania and I am looking forward to my second year studying History at King’s!
At the moment I can’t believe how happy I am! I write poems and short stories, (I love fantastic realism), working out, I paint (usually parrots and sad experiences), I read (I want to expand my knowledge on religion and the relationship between religion and extremism, conflict) and most importantly I feel surrounded with precious people who love me, even though they are a world away!
I have been doing revision with my friends which helped me adapt. All of my professors have been very positive about the exams and extremely encouraging! Throughout my journey at King’s I learnt to be independent; how happy studying history really makes me feel; and that you can be successful in any circumstance you are in. This helped me tremendously during quarantine because I managed to achieve every (realistic) goal I had!
Most importantly, my happiness comes from what I have learnt during quarantine: true love, as well as true friendship, survives everything. It survives 2000 miles and more.
Always check on the people you miss the most. And know that soon we will all be together again.
