Technologies

CTEL aims to improve the digital education experience for staff and students by providing expertise in learning technologies. To ensure that we achieve this and align with the overall educational strategy of King’s, our support is focused on offering and supporting pedagogically sound, sustainable and scalable technology. To ensure we can meet the needs of the university, we have identified Core and Recommended technologies, each associated with a distinct level of IT support, pedagogical guidance and training. This support and training will typically highlight the pedagogic application of the technology and, where possible, be supported by empirical evidence. In addition we provide guidance on the use of unsupported technologies.

Please note: The categorisation of technologies is not static and discussions around this will occur at the appropriate digital education forums.
