About the Centre

 

 

The King’s College London Centre for Team Based Practice & Learning in Health Care is an initiative with the aim to develop, coordinate and expand interprofessional, team-based practice and learning opportunities for clinicians and for students pursuing health professional studies at the College. It brings together academics with expertise in interprofessionalism and team-based practice and learning in health care, and with commitment to and enthusiasm for ensuring that King’s students and staff partake in collaborative learning and research opportunities. Its mission is to:

  • Develop and continually improve agreed learning outcomes in support of team-based practice across the full-range of healthcare settings for the benefit of patients
  • Coordinate and deliver high quality inter- and trans-professional education
  • Pilot and evaluate innovative approaches to team-based practice and learning
  • Provide internal and external faculty development
  • Disseminate evidence-based practice and high quality educational research

The Centre is led by Professor Rick Iedema.
