The Effective and Relational Communication training is seen as an essential tool for establishing caring and meaningful connections within the care home setting. To supplement this training, additional sessions will be held focusing on Relational Communication and Cooperative Leadership.
Relational Communication delves deeper into fostering positive relationships within the workplace. The training emphasises the importance of respecting individual differences, encouraging open dialogue, and nurturing collaborative problem-solving at all members in teams.
Meanwhile, the Cooperative Leadership aims to cultivate an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. The training focuses on decision-making techniques that work toward and promote group consensus, ensuring that staff at all levels feel engaged and connected to their organisation's vision and goals.
Incorporating both training sessions into the induction process has solidified the importance of effectively and emphatically developing communication and relation skills right from the onset of employment at Care Home #4CSD.
By educating staff in these vital areas, our team aim to foster a supportive and dynamic working environment that boosts staff morale, decreases turnover, and ultimately improves resident care.
This initiative is part of the Healthier Working Lives programme strategy, to address Care sector challenges related to staff recruitment and retention.
