A Multi-faith Chaplaincy

London is a city bustling with a variety of religious and faith activities.

The Chaplaincy at King’s reflects the diverse nature of the university and the wider London community:

  • We support students and staff of all faiths and none: everybody is welcome

  • We seek to promote mutual understanding and respect between people of different faiths and beliefs, including the desire to share together the riches of each tradition

  • We emphasise community, hospitality and care while also valuing difference and diversity

  • We offer an inclusive space for worship, prayer, mediation, relaxation and spiritual exploration across traditions

  • We promote justice and acceptance over and above exclusion or discrimination.  In particular, the Chaplaincy recognises Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism as irresponsible and unacceptable

  • We believe that multi-faith engagement can enable greater understanding of our own faith traditions.

Whilst there are sometimes concerns that closer relationships between different religions will lead to blurring the distinctiveness of traditions, in the contemporary world the Chaplaincy sees positive multi-faith relations as a necessity for global survival and for the integrity of each religion.  The Chaplains at King's come from a range of different faith traditions and denominations, and you can meet them here.
