The College Chapel is first and foremost a place of Christian worship. It is used for acts of corporate worship by members of the King’s community. It is also used by staff and students for private prayer and reflection throughout the day.
Visitors are welcome to attend any of our regular, term-time services that are held in the College Chapel.
Individual visitors, or small groups of 5 or less, are also welcome to view the Chapel when the Chapel is not in use for a service or event. We would advise you to check with the Dean's Office before travelling to campus to ensure that the Chapel is available to you - that being said, the Strand Reception team should be able to advise you if the Chapel is available to visitors on the day should you not have been able to check in advance.
Groups of 5 or more are welcome to view the Chapel by prior arrangement, ideally two weeks in advance - email the Dean's Office to express an interest or find out more.
All visitors must report to the Reception desk on the Strand, where they will be signed in as Chapel Visitors and directed to the Chapel.
Booking the Chapel: we operate a policy of reserving the Chapel for teaching, services, Chapel Choir rehearsals and private prayer and reflection between 9am-6pm Monday to Friday during term time.Outside of this time, we welcome enquiries to book the Chapel for both internal and external events. Please contact the Dean's Office with your interest and requirements. To enquire about booking the Chapel of Thomas Guy, please contact the Guy's Chaplain.
