Alongside the course you will download and complete a detailed leadership workbook and have access to a range of contemporary articles, interviews, readings and activities to support your learning. You will finish the course by creating a plan for your future development as a leader that can guide your immediate and future career steps.

This programme is well-suited to participants who are looking for a modern, strategic approach and content-rich guided journey through business management in a hands-on format that enables you to immerse yourself in the learning material, surrounded by like-minded business owners on the same journey.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be a small or medium UK business owner or senior leader who has been in operation for over a year, employ between 5-249 people, and possess at least one link of management in the business structure. For full entry requirements, please click here.
The course is taught in English so you must be confident that your reading, listening and writing skills in English are adequate to fully understand and follow the taught materials at an advanced level.
Course fees
The full fee for this course is £750. The remaining 90% of the course costs are funded by the UK government.
The course fee includes access to the course and all materials for 6 months with the ability to download materials, the workbook and development plan on completion. Our programme team are on hand to respond to any technical or administrative queries.
You will complete the course in 12 weeks; we recommend an indicative study time of around 30 at-home learning hours in order to fully engage with the material and complete the activities effectively.
There is a 25% saving available for this short course for alumni from any King's College London degree programme.

Learn from the experts
The course will be taught by a range of top King's Business School faculty across the breadth of business disciplines.
The course will be led by Julian Glyn-Owen, Professor in Practice of Leadership. Julian has worked in Executive Education for over a decade after qualifying as a Business and Economics teacher. Prior to teaching business people, Julian’s early career in more than a decade of work, was management of international business relationships, sales in manufacturing and technology services.
His key motivation in learning & development is delivering excellence in executive education, leading courses for Business Schools and corporate bodies. He holds a Fellowship with Kings Business School in Leadership and contributes to a range of the School’s Executive programmes and initiatives.

Throughout this short program, I will lead and guide you through your learning. My role is to maximise the learning for you, starting with presenting you with ‘thought starters’ to begin your own thinking around each topic. For the twelve modules I will welcome you and your subject matter expert teachers. Behind the scenes I will also be shaping content and contributions by the King’s Faculty. Shortly after each module, there will be small team discussions which I will facilitate. These are designed to help you all bring together the most relevant learnings and allow you to see your own outcomes for your business.
I aim to develop a high level of debate, engagement and collective trust as we work through the programme and am very much looking forward to working with you.
