Our vision of the world
King’s vision is to make the world a better place, and we believe that business can be central to that effort. Read on to find out what we believe and how that influences the way we work.
A connected Business School
We’re more than thought leaders. We’re business activists, developing bold ideas to tackle the world’s major challenges. We foster the knowledge, confidence, and adaptability our students will need to be the right kinds of leaders for the economy and society.
Our students think about business ethics and sustainability right from the outset: it is a compulsory first year module for all our undergraduate programmes.
We collaborate across disciplines, working together to find new approaches to business in a rapidly changing world. We connect brilliant minds in subjects as diverse as AI, psychology, or defence. And we connect daring organisations with the people who can help them develop and test ideas that will transform the way they work.
We are working with colleagues at King’s India Institute to explore the future of UK-India trade relations. The project is one of four to have received funding in a joint UK-India social science research initiative.
Part of a world-class university
King’s College London has a heritage of pioneering thinking. Centres of excellence from law to medicine are finding innovative ways to build the bright future we all believe in.
Our 48-hour Start Up Bootcamp shows our students how to design and create a live product in just one weekend. Working with students from the Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences they gain experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Our culture challenges staff to open themselves up to these new perspectives from across the university, working together on practical applications that will produce real impact.
At the heart of the world’s greatest city
Like the community at King’s, London is diverse, energetic and boundary pushing. We have limitless sources of inspiration to draw on.
King’s Business School’s Diversity Mentoring programme matches female undergraduates and students from Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic backgrounds students with an alumni mentor for six months of one-to-one career development support.
Our people and our ideas are at the heart of whole worlds of influence. Our work spans multiple sectors, letting us spot common issues, translate successful ideas from industry to industry and shape new partnerships.
This year we offered our MSc students the chance to work with international consultancy ReD on a week-long practical elective. The elective explores different approaches to understanding human behaviour how to apply that insight to business decision-making.
Networks across the world
New ideas formed here have the power to transfer across the world. From collaborations with other leading universities, to networks with our international alumni, our influence spreads far and wide.
Starting this academic year, students on the King’s Business School MSc in International Management can apply to earn a double degree at King’s Business School and Luiss in Rome.
Together, we will tackle the world’s major challenges for the good of the economy, the environment, society – and businesses everywhere.
