The Mystery of Mary Magdalene

Over the last four months Professor Joan Taylor has been working as script consultant and advisor for this BBC documentary that celebrates Mary Magdalene. 

The documentary brings to a wide audience some scholarly discussions about Mary Magdalene and explores how her portrayal has been shaped over time. With Joan and other experts Helen Bond and Tom Wright, watch out also for TRS New Testament lecturer Robin Griffith-Jones. The programme is presented by Melvyn Bragg, who sets off on a journey of discovery to find the real Mary and re-discover her true significance as eminent disciple and witness of Christ.
