New name for the Faculty

Over the summer, the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery was renamed the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care.

This was done to reflect the joining of the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, Policy & Rehabilitation with the Faculty. Following a review of the organisation 'home' of the the Institute within King's College London, it was felt that the Institute would benefit from enhanced academic coherence by joining with the Florence Nightingale Faculty.

This realignment will serve to strengthen some of the natural synergies  that exist between the Faculty and Institute, and realise some innovative interdisciplinary opportunities.
