The QS rankings highlight the world’s top universities across 42 popular subject areas; this is the first year that Nursing has been included in the subject list. Institutions are assessed on academic reputation, citations to publications and employer reputation to give an overall score.
King’s Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery scored 89.6% overall, with 99.9% for academic reputation and 87% for citations per paper, and was ranked 6th overall in the world.
Executive Dean of the Faculty Professor Ian Norman said: ‘This achievement recognises the major contribution of the Faculty to the research base of professional nursing and midwifery and also the high quality of education and career preparation provided for our students. It is a reflection of the hard work, expertise and dedication of all our academic and professional services staff.’
