Professor Stephen Tee elected as Chair of the Healthcare Education Group
Professor Steve Tee, Associate Dean Education, Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, has been elected as Chair of the prestigious Healthcare Education Group, led by London Higher.
The Healthcare Education Group was set up in 2001 to create opportunities for wider contact and engagement between providers of healthcare education in London and their NHS and regional stakeholders. The Group works alongside London Medicine, a clinical academic forum that provides a platform for educators to discuss emerging issues in the delivery of medical and health education, and research in the capital.
Speaking after hearing the results of the election, Professor Tee said, "It's a great honour to be elected chair and I am absolutely delighted to have been given this opportunity. Healthcare education and research are grappling with some major issues and there is a growing need to communicate and collaborate across the sector. I very much looking forward to engaging with partners in order to extend the nature, scope and influence of the group."
