Professor Jill Maben announced as HSJ Clinical Leader

Professor Jill Maben, Director of the National Nursing Research Unit, has been highlighted as one of the top 100 most influential people in health, according to the Health Service Journal.

The inaugural HSJ Clinical Leaders event, held on Tuesday 11th June 2013, aimed to identify those clinicians making the greatest impact on health policy, service transformation, and innovation. The HSJ team prepared a long list of candidates over the spring and a panel of judges was put together with knowledge of influence in healthcare and who represent a broad spectrum of opinion.

Professor Maben was listed in the top 12 researchers in the country and was described as follows:

"The go-to organisation for nursing research is led by nurse and history graduate Professor Jill Maben. Widely respected across the profession for turning research into action, her work on new ways to deliver care will be seminal post-Francis."

Professor Sir Robert Lechler, Executive Director of King's Health Partners, was also included in the top 12 researchers, while Sally Brearley, Visiting Research Fellow at the NNRU, was on the Nursing and Midwifery list.
