Supervisory Excellence Award Winner
Professor Ian Norman, Associate Dean, has won the 2012 Supervisory Excellence Award for the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery. The award celebrates the important role that supervisors play in helping the 400 postgraduate research students who complete their degrees every year at King’s.
Professor Norman has been given the award in recognition of his history of supervisory success; his commitment to the pastoral care of his supervisees; his engagement with their personal and professional development; and his innovative supervisory practice.
Speaking of the award, Professor Norman said:
"Our School has over 50 postgraduate research students at any one time and it is excellent to be able to be a part of their intellectual development and to see them progress as successful researchers in the field. I am delighted to have been recognised by the Graduate School with this award.”
Professor Norman will be presented his Supervisory Excellence Award by the Principal at one of the forthcoming graduation ceremonies.
