Sarah Brown celebrates International Women's Day at King's
Sarah Brown joined students and staff from the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery at King’s on Monday 8 March to celebrate International Women’s Day with a cake sale - raising money for the White Ribbon Alliance.
Led by Tess Dunning, a third year midwifery student, lecturer Dr Gill Aston and a number of other students from the School, the sale took place at the Franklin Wilkins Building and was a great success with many returning for second helpings!
Sarah, who participated in a number of International Women’s Day events on 8 March, is also a member of the White Ribbon Alliance, which is the world’s largest network of organisations and individuals dedicated to ending the needless deaths of women in pregnancy and childbirth.
