Director Ken Russell visits School of Nursing & Midwifery
On Tuesday 5 January, the British film director Ken Russell visited the School of Nursing & Midwifery to interview Professor Anne Marie Rafferty, Head of School, and John Browne, the School’s composer in residence, for an article for The Times.
Ken Russell profiled the School’s Culture and Care programme, which aims to explore the healing power of music and the arts and its use in the practical nursing and midwifery curriculum. John Browne discussed the projects he will be working on during his residency, many of which may form part of the School’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Culture and Care features a diverse variety of exciting events, including performances, demonstrations, masterclasses, lectures and readings, visits to world-class cultural institutions, commissions and collaborations with leading contemporary artists and arts organisations.
