King's welcomes PhD students funded by the China Scholarship Council
Earlier this term, King’s welcomed a new cohort of PhD students funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) starting their PHDs.
An event was held for these students, firstly to welcome them to King's and also to explain how they will be supported as a cohort and the opportunities available to them as they start their PhD journey. Students were given a tour of the Biomedical Research Centre that is available for their research training and welcomed by many from across King’s.
The event was attended by Xiaopeng Hu, First Secretary Education Section, Embassy of the P.R.China. Also present was King’s Principal and President, Professor Ed Byrne and Faculty Vice Dean (Postgraduate Research), Professor Linda Klavinskis who have played a major part in the success of the CSC programme.
