Pilger screens 'The War you Don't See' at King's
Over 100 people attended the Edmond J Safra Lecture Theatre on Wednesday evening, to watch a screening of John Pilger’s compelling film, The War you Don’t See.
Organised by The International State Crime Initiative (ISCI), the screening was followed by a question and answer session with Pilger, as well as a photographic exhibition and drinks reception.
Director of ISCI , Professor Penny Green (pictured with John Pilger), said she was delighted to host the screening of his work: “John Pilger’s investigative journalism provides a powerful counter narrative to conventional and mainstream media accounts of war and conflict . The legitimation of war by the media is one of the most serious and urgent issues of our time and John Pilger has devoted a celebrated career to challenging that legitimation.”
