CMS Sponsors New Prizes in International Arbitration Law

Top 10 international law firm CMS has generously sponsored new prizes in international arbitration law for students in The Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London.

The prizes will be awarded to three students on the Master of Laws (LLM) programme. LLM students complete a research essay as part of their degree and the prizes will be awarded to students who have submitted essays in the field of arbitration. 

The CMS Prize in International Arbitration is the biggest prize offered by the School to LLM students. First place wins £2,000, second receives £1,000 and £500 is on offer for third place. 

LLM students in The Dickson Poon School of Law submit their final research essays in September 2014. CMS International Arbitration Prizewinners will be announced in November 2014.

One of the prize winners can win the chance to undertake a three month internship placement at one of a number of CMS member firms. Each prizewinner will be invited to submit a written statement setting out why they wish to undertake an internship in international arbitration, along with their CV, by the end of November.

About our LLM programme and prizes

The King’s LLM is a respected academic qualification recognised throughout the world and across key legal disciplines. It focuses on our particular areas of expertise, and aims to offer a unique student experience by taking advantage of our outstanding academic reputation, with emphasis on innovative and problem-solving teaching methods as well as our comparative and international outlook.
