BDS student Claire Bayliss wins KCL heat of student dental skills competition
Congratulations to Claire Bayliss, the King’s College London winner of the RCSEd Dentsply Sirona Dental Skills Competition.
The Royal College of Surgeons in partnership with Dentsply Sirona launched the competition across the country and King's College London held their heats earlier this week.
During the heats final year dental students put their clinical skills to the test. As the KCL winner, Claire Bayliss has won a travel and accommodation package to compete in the Grand Final in Edinburgh on March 30, 2017. At the Grand Final, the top 16 dental students from across the UK will be tasked to undertake a broad range of clinical procedures and the overall winner will be announced at the Competition’s Grand Final Dinner, held in the historic Playfair building.
As well as prizes being awarded to the winner and runner-up’s, all participants of the competition will receive a certificate of participation for the professional portfolio, as well as two year’s affiliation with the Royal College of Surgeons.
The winner of the Grand Final will receive a 4-day trip to Dentsply Sirona’s Restorative Form in Konstanz, Germany in June 2017, with flights and accommodation provided.
