Professor Gallagher guest speaker at Beijing workshop

Professor Jenny Gallagher was the main speaker at a workshop in Beijing, China held onTuesday 7 June. 

It was a joint meeting of the WHO Collaborating Centre and the Chinese Dental Association to consider the important topic of Human Resources for Oral Health. Professor Gallagher presented an overview of the Global Dental Workforce including recent research from her team at King's.

The workshop was attended by dentists from each province across China involved in the 4th National Oral Health Survey, in support of planning of a national workforce survey. The organisation of the workshop was led by Professors Tao Xu and Shuguo Zheng from Peking University School of Stomatology. 

There is a MoU between the two university health schools and also the dental schools. Dr Xiangu Sun from PKUSS is currently spending a year with Professor Gallagher and Dr Bernabe working in secondary analysis of the third Chinese oral health survey data.
