Dental Grad wins KHP presentation prize
Recent BDS graduate Rabia Dean was selected through a competitive process to give an oral presentation at the KHP Safety Connections Conference 2016, on her audit on child safeguarding practice.
The process involved giving a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a series of open questions. The competition was judged on content, presentation and responses to questions. The highest scoring presenter was awarded the prize of best oral presentation. The panel consisted of Professor Anne Greenough, Director of Education and Training for King’s Health Partners and Jayne Frisby, Interprofessional Education and Training lead for King’s Health Partners.
Rabia was humbled and honoured to have been selected for presentation and to receive the prestigious prize for the best presentation: "It was a privilege to present in front of an audience of such notable and inspirational figures within the healthcare profession. It is extremely rewarding to receive recognition for your perseverance, dedication and hard work. Most importantly, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to reinforce the ideology that we must all work together to catalyse change across every aspect of patient safety and improvement. I would like to offer my sincerest gratitude to King’s College London for providing an impeccable support structure to allow us to succeed in every given opportunity."
Rabia Dean graduated from the Dental Institute in June this year.
